How Our World Got Turned Upside Down!

So on Fathers Day of this year when the day was ending, I got a call around 11:30 pm it was my sister Chris i couldn't understand what she was saying! All I know is that she was screaming and crying! when I told her to calm down because I couldn't understand her; She did and she told me that my Dad had fallen down and he wasn't getting up and he wasn't responding. So I just remember feeling like if someone punched me in my stomach and took my breath out! It was a surreal moment i was in shock and I guess a BIG Part of me was in denial. So when we got to my moms house the ambulance was already their and they were taking him to The Washington Regional. I stayed behind with my mom and my sister Loy, My sister Chely,Rosy, Rica and my Brother Alvaro had gone to the hospital with my dad. The minutes seemed like hours and the phone wouldn't ring to give us an update, then when it finally did it was my sisters to say that my mom needed to be their because the Dr's. didn't really give my Dad any chances of surviving, so finally when she left we had learned that because of a High Blood pressure a vein popped in his brain causing him a Brain Hemrage and he had a mini Stroke. The Dr.'s had said that he needed a urgent surgery but they where giving us a 50/50 chance of him surviving the operation but they also said if he didn't get the surgery done he would only have 2 days to live! So after he survived the Surgery DR.'S said it was going to be a Long and Hard process and he didn't know how my dad was going to be after everything was done. That same day he had the surgery he squeezed my moms hand, and when he did that our whole prospect of the situation changed and we had HOPE, Hope that he was going to pull through this horrible nightmare that we where in and Hope that he wasn't going to die and leave us so soon! so after a few days of no change he opened his eyes and started to respond more, it was a roller coaster that nobody was prepared to ride on! Their where the good days were he was good and responsive and then their where the bad days were he was asleep all day without being so responsive like the day before! I think it was those bad days when he wasn't responsive when every ones Hope would Fade a little. He remained in the ICU for 3 weeks but Thankfully he pulled through those dangerous weeks and finally after 3 weeks the Dr said he was ready to start his rehab process. SO Now he is in Regency Hospital where their are preparing him for his long or short term rehab therapy. He's been here since Monday July 12 hes been progressing good! They put in a tube where he is now talking he sound's weird because its not for sure his voice a machine is helping him talk, also today they did some therapy with him and they said he did good. He might be here for 2 or 3 weeks and if its needed they might transfer him to another Rehab facility in Springdale where he will have Therapy mostly all day. So Thankfully we had Hope we ran with it and Now hes here alive and working toward his recovery.
